While writing "Someone Else's Book Club," I concocted a backstory involving an extraterrestrial device that could wipe out all of the books in the world. It got me thinking about other mysterious devices from space and what would happen if they fell into the wrong hands. ​

Simultaneously, I wanted to write a story featuring two characters from Kilroy Was Here. Clara Gonzales and Marlene Hunter. They are two Herpezoid hunters who are determined to seek adventure.

​

So, I took Clara and Marlene and shipped them off to work at a new department in the world of extraterrestrial investigation: The Department of Potentially Dangerous Things!

The story joins Clara and Marlene as they track down mysterious devices from space that may or may not pose a threat to our planet. At the very least, these strange gizmos don't need to end up in the general population.

The first book focuses on a sentient jukebox powered by a person's yearning for nostalgia. The new book will be available in a few weeks. I can't wait to share it with you!
