Kilroy Owns the Night: Day 9 (Halloween)

Clovis Rump pilfered through his cigar box of prosthetic eyes like a dude obsessed with building the perfect Halloween costume. The wrong eye could ruin the whole ensemble. One eye was my favorite shade of blue, indigo. Another looked like it could shoot lasers so I made a mental note to maybe steal it sometime. A laser-shooting fake eye could come in handy. Finally, Clovis popped in one that glowed white.
“Ah, there we are,” he said.
“You’re freaking me out, dude. All I wanna know is where to find this Encyclopedia thingy. Any info?”
“This eye was identified as a Potentially Dangerous Thing by the Encyclopedia,” he bragged. Admittedly, that was cool so I made another mental note about stealing it, too.
“This eye,” he said, “can track any object you’re seek. However, it won’t tell you where it currently is. Instead, it tells you where it will be when you find it.”
The glow of the eye must have triggered something in my brain nano. It tickled my synapses like a hot chick running her fingers gently down my arm. Third mental note: I needed to find a woman.
“Holy shit.” I pointed at his freaky eye. “That’s the Ocular Oracle of Vexx. How the hell did you score that?”
“Ancient Lloydian secret, Kilroy.”
“Seriously, dude. How much did you pay?”
“Fine,” he huffed. “I bought this whole box of eyes from Widow Zaxx’s galactic flea market. “Let me do this, will ya?”
I let Clovis do his thing.
